Berlusconi denies paying for sex with teenage dancer
All allegations relating to the Prime Minister of Italy, Silvio Berlusconi have been denied as he maintained his innocence in regards to his sexcapades with a 17-year-old dancer, Ruby. There have been allegations by prosecutors regarding whether Mr. Berlusconi has been abusing his power by helping Ruby, get free from a police cell.

However, he denied all the charges in a recent video message to his supporters shown on Sunday on Italian television. Mr. Berlusconi said, “This is completely absurd as I do not know what people really think of me. I cannot believe that anyone would really think that I would pay to have sex with a woman. Never once in my life has this ever happened and I would personally consider it to be extremely derogatory should I ever have.”
“Since I separated from my wife, although I have to mention that I did not want to state it on television so that I could avoid exposing her, I have been in an extremely stable relationship with only one person who has been with me most of the evenings disallowing any of the absurd things that some new shapers have decided to print about me and my personal life. It is completely absurd to think that I would support such under age prostitution.”
According to Mr. Berlusconi, many magistrates have acted in an unexpected legal manner trying to prosecute him.
Leader’s legal woes
Although the Italian Prime Minister himself admitted that he had called the police on Ruby’s behalf, he still maintains that he never did anything wrong. Prosecutors are now investigating whether Mr. Berlusconi had made the call as a means of covering his tracks in regards to his use of underage prostitutes.
Ruby, whose real name is Karima El Mahroug, who is now 18 years old has told newspapers that she was paid approximately $9500 for simply attending a private party thrown by the Prime Minister late last year. However, she has denied having sex with him.
When Mr. Berlusconi had called police on her behalf, she was being questioned in association with various theft allegations and as a means of getting her out of prison, Mr. Berlusconi had lied saying that she was a very close relative to Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.
The first time the case actually came to light was in November 2010 when the Milan police were being questioned by prosecutors regarding the involvement of Mr. Berlusconi. In a recent issue statement on Saturday, prosecutors said that they had issued Mr. Berlusconi a summons and the divine investigating any alleged crimes that were committed during a two-month period of February and March of last year.
‘Pity’
The one good thing that the 74 year old Prime Minister has in his favour is that he has some very good lawyers who have out rightly dismissed all allegations as completely absurd stating that they already have concrete proof of Mr. Berlusconi being present at another event during the alleged incident.
In Italy, paying for sex with anyone who is underage is considered a very serious and heinous crime.
