From the Wolf Blitzer Reports staff:

London was rocked by a series of coordinated terror attacks to the city’s transit system during rush hour this morning. At last report, Scotland Yard says at least 37 people were killed and more than 700 were wounded in the four bombings -- three struck Underground trains, one struck a double-decker bus. Survivors and witnesses describe fear, panic and varying degrees of injuries at the scenes of the explosions. As authorities investigate and London struggles to recover and remobilize, we’ll bring you the latest developments.

British Prime Minister Tony Blair says it’s “reasonably clear” that the blasts were terror attacks, and a European al Qaeda affiliate made an unconfirmed claim of responsibility for the attacks on its web site. British police say they had no advanced warning of the attacks, and were “shocked, but not surprised” by them. Was the UK adequately prepared? Who is responsible for the attacks? We’ll have details on the intelligence angle.

Authorities say there is no information on any threat to the U.S., but the alert level for mass transit around the country has been raised to orange. Significant progress has been made in tightening aviation security in America, but has enough been done to keep U.S. railways safe? What should you do if the train or bus you’re riding comes under attack? Is America now at higher risk of attack in light of events in London? We’ll examine these issues with CNN’s team of homeland security experts.
